A Vow That Fed a Movement
In early 2024, two brothers—Hani and Mahmoud Almadhoun—made a personal vow to ensure no neighbor in Beit Lahia, Gaza went hungry. That promise became the Gaza Soup Kitchen: a grassroots Palestine NGO supported by people worldwide who donate to help Gaza families.

Behind every meal served is a team of 63 heroes working tirelessly in Gaza. Their mission is simple yet profound: to sustain our community, help families in need, and affirm our shared humanity—one meal, one act of love at a time.
Unbreakable Resolve
Mahmoud, a central pillar of our mission, was tragically killed in a drone strike. His final word—“Mostamreen” (مستمرين), meaning “we will continue”—became our guiding principle. Today, his family and friends carry forward his legacy through the Gaza Soup Kitchen.
